About the seminar:

Part VIIIAA of the Family Law Act allows a Court to make an order under s 79 that "is directed to, or alters the rights, liabilities or property interests of a third party". There are more and more cases where third parties are joined to or intervene in matrimonial proceedings, including family members, creditors, companies. This presentation explores the recent trends and developments in cases involving third parties including the High Court case of Commissioner of Taxation v Tomaras [2018] HCA 62, and tips and strategies on running these often complicated property cases.

Speaker:    Tijana Petkovic, Director, Blanchfield Nicholls
