About the webinar:  Proprietary estoppel is an equitable estoppel grounded in unconscionability that has the capacity to create new rights in respect to land. This presentation considers some of the latest developments in the application of proprietary estoppel in New South Wales: the quality of the representation needed to establish a proprietary estoppel; the elements that must be proved and the different evidentiary requirements of the proprietary estoppels of acquiescence and encouragement; and the measure of relief a court in New South Wales may give on proof of the elements.

Speaker:  Dr Simon Blount, Barrister - State Chambers.
